Can youth be retained, and if so, how?
Blood circulation is a huge part of remaining healthy, visually young, and vibrant. That is why people exercise so persistantly to try to maintain range of motion and flexible skin.
When we do cupping there are several ways we approach it depending on what you are looking for.
- Full Body Gentle Cupping: Using cups that are soft and pliable allows for a smooth, relaxing cupping massage that stimulates blood flow, increases joint range of motion while reducing pain and stiffness. This massage is deeply relaxing and will make you feel limber and happy.
- Therapeutic Cupping: Made popular with the Olympic athletes walking around with deep red and purple circles on their backs, therapeutic cupping helps bring blood flow to move waste out and nutrients into the painful or stiff areas. This increased circulation helps the body recover from athletic events faster, can help with chronic pain, stiffness, and many other ailments. There is a posted link below to read more information on the therapeutic aspects of cupping.
- Anticellulite Cupping: Using a specialized anticellulite serum, areas of particular interest are cupped in fluid strokes to move blood and adipose to make areas more flexible and supple. Techniques used promote circulation of fluids and movement of tissues in a comfortable manner minimizing sensitivity. We check in during treatment to ensure a pleasant experience.
- Full Facial Cupping: We combine the therapeutic techniques of cupping with techniques that relieve muscular strain while increasing circulation, an enjoyable treatment that minimizes fine lines and wrinkles.
An adjunct to TCM Cupping is an ancient modality called Gua Sha. Recently in America there has also risen a therapy called Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation, IASTM. Here at Align Bodyworks we have similar tools made of copper that are especially designed to work out physical adhesions and biological barriers without pain or bruising. We always have these tools readily available. Ask if you would like to know more of how these therapies can be used in a relaxing manner without pain or bruising.
